A native of New Orleans, Louisiana with experience in business, marketing, non-profits, and pop culture Johnathan King has a library of topics to discuss. In 2000 Johnathan and his family moved to Frisco, Texas, where he was afforded an excellent education in comparison to the substandard education in New Orleans. He is a product of an education that should be available to all. After high school, Johnathan attended Abilene Christian University (ACU) from where he graduated in 2010 with a Bachelor’s degree in Business Marketing and Management, in the process becoming the first college graduate in his family.
While at ACU and drawing on his influences from home, Johnathan developed a passion for non-profits, including Meals on Wheels, Habitat for Humanity, and Falling Whistles. Other interests include hip-hop culture, fashion, and diverse cultures around the world.
After attending the University of Tulsa College of Law for a year, he decided to fore go a career in the legal field and go into business with his family. They are owners of a Liberty Tax franchise in the Dallas area and have just begun their first season.
“I am thankful for the opportunity to be a part of the movement which is Fligher Education!”
-J. King
