For many of the billion plus members of Bishop Eddie Long’s mega-church, this has been a long and challenging journey that appears to have taken yet another turbulent turn. This time, the Bishop’s wife Vanessa of twenty-one years has filed for divorce. Amidst sexual allegations and past charges for molesting young boys, the Longs have been going through what appears to be hell on earth.
It is obvious that the pain and hurt was beyond repair for the Long family. It appears from the video below that the Bishop has decided to “take some time off” and go on sabbatical in an attempt to mitigate his broken family. We can only hope that the members of the congregation can continue in the Lord’s work.

Despite my feelings, its sad to have a Black leader fall from grace (in our eyes at least-we are not The Judge) Prayerfully, things will get better for the congregation and his family.
