I have never prayed so hard in my life!!! I was in my office and all of a sudden I felt the ground shaking beneath me, I realized this was my first earthquake!! I noticed boxes on my drawers moving and what sounded like a train coming. The shaking lasted for about 20-25 seconds, but those few seconds felt like an eternity! Initial reports indicate the earthquake was a 5.9, one of the largest on record. My building was evacuated and sent home for the remainder of the day.
When I arrived home I immediately found pictures had been knocked off the wall and glass had shattered across the floor. Everything on the shelves have fallen down. This has been one of the craziest moments in my life! Here are photos from my house:
